Stress is a normal physical response to events that make you feel threatened or in danger at some level, and is a useful warning to you to change one or more of your behaviours or attitudes. The trouble starts when you do not heed the warning and you run the risk of developing chronic stress, which brings with it a sense of hopelessness and confusion, a sense of being overwhelmed and not knowing which path to choose to escape from the maze of your disturbed thoughts, emotions and fears.

Therapy provides a calm, confidential space for an exploration of the life choices and events that have brought you to this point of pain and confusion. Together with the therapist you will gain insight into the underlying causes of your present distress, and you will be offered the possibility of moving forward into a more rewarding and productive way of being in the world.
